Privacy Policy

Marque is a service-standards training and assessment app used by organisations to develop their teams. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have.
Who is responsible for your data
Marque is provided as a platform to organisations (for example, a hotel, club or restaurant group). The organisation you work for is the data controller for the information about you held in the app and decides how it is used. Marque operates the platform on that organisation's behalf as its data processor. If you are unsure which organisation holds your data, speak to your manager or administrator.
What we collect
- Your name, role and department.
- Your work email address and, optionally, a username.
- Your sign-in password, stored only in a protected (hashed) form that no one, including administrators, can read.
- The results of your service-standards assessments, including individual answers and any notes an assessor adds.
- Your service-energizer scores.
Marque does not collect location data, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Why we use it
To train and develop teams, to record how service standards are being met, and to recognise where they are exceeded. Assessment results support training and development — they exist to help people grow.
Where it is stored and how it is protected
Information is stored on the Marque platform's own server, not with any third-party advertising or analytics company. Each organisation's data is kept in a separate database, strictly isolated from every other organisation. Data travels between the app and the server over an encrypted connection. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes and are never visible to anyone.
Who can see it
Access depends on role. Managers can view results for their own department's team; directors and administrators can view results across their organisation; team members see their own. Administrators may download a secure backup of their own organisation's data for safekeeping. Your information is never shared outside your organisation and is never sold.
How long we keep it
Your account and results are kept while you work at the organisation and for as long as they are needed for training records afterwards. Administrators can delete assessment records and accounts when they are no longer needed.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) and similar laws, you can ask to see the information held about you, ask for mistakes to be corrected, and in some circumstances ask for information to be deleted. To exercise these rights, contact your organisation's administration, or email us and we will help route your request to the right organisation.
Children
Marque is a workplace tool intended for employees and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
